Product Information

BMW and Mercedes-Benz electric power steering racks can develop wear and play in the rack. Often this wear is easily corrected by replacement or adjustment of the thrust bushing. This socket is designed to allow the removal and correct fitting of the thrust bushing with the rack in situ on the vehicle. Manufactured from carbon steel (S45C).

  • EPS (Electric Power Steering) 3 pin rack thrust socket with 24mm Hex drive.
  • BMW applications include: 1 Series (from 2011), 3 Series (from 2012), 4 Series (from 2013), X1 (from 2015) and X3 (2010 - 2017).
  • Mercedes-Benz applications include: C Class (from 2014) & S Class (from 2014).
  • Equivalent to BMW OEM 2 458 076-4 & Mercedes-Benz OEM 205 589 00 07 00. For BMW, use this socket with OEM parts kit 32106891974.
  • NOTE: See OEM information for maximum torque setting. Use with 24mm socket - not for use with power tools.
